Welcome to Thames Valley NARPO

We are a part of the National NARPO which represents retired police officers of all ranks, their spouse, partner and police widows, widowers or former partners. It was formed in 1919 and exists to safeguard the rights of members and promote measures for their welfare with particular reference to pensions. NARPO is the only Association which looks after the interests of retired police officers and lobbies on their behalf with Government and other organisations.

Thames Valley currently has three independent Branches – Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire - each run by elected Committee members. The pages of our site provide an overview of these Branches and their activities. We offer a range of services to members including advice on pensions and other issues affecting the welfare of our members.

This website shows the co-operation between the three Branches, who have all contributed to the cost of setting up the site. It is hoped that it will keep members across Thames Valley better informed; latest news, welfare contacts, socials and so on.

The site belongs to all NARPO members in Thames Valley and as such; any contributions for inclusion, particularly photographs, will be gratefully received.

You will need to log in to gain full access to TVP NARPO website. The password can be obtained from your local Branch Secretary direct by email – just follow the links on the next page.

The site has been designed to suit the needs of the three specific Branches and the membership in general. Whichever Branch you have joined please look at the other Branches pages.

The Branches have varying levels of activity, all take the welfare of their members very seriously and will be there for members when they need that little bit of help. In addition we are fortunate to have access to Reverend Canon David Wilbraham, the TVP Chaplain and head of the National Association of Chaplains to the Police. David is able to arrange spiritual health for any faith. His contact details can be found under the Welfare pages.

Members have access through NARPO HQ website to current information; regarding pensions, injury on duty awards and other relevant changes. Members also have access to a variety of benefits such as discounts on motor insurance, house and contents insurance, travel insurance, investment and legal advice, discounted holidays, etc.
